JOB PURPOSE:

Seeking a highly experienced SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) specialist to lead enterprise data integration, ETL, and master data governance initiatives for the Oil & Gas sector. The role involves architecting, designing, and implementing robust ETL solutions, ensuring data quality, and providing guidance to technical teams across projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead SAP BODS architecture, ETL design, and data integration across multiple source systems. Manage full project lifecycle from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment to support. Perform data cleansing, deduplication, transformation, and loading using SAP BODS. Develop and maintain data quality rules, scorecards, and validation processes using SAP Information Steward. Collaborate with business and functional teams to define data requirements and transformation logic. Oversee staging, pre-load, and post-load validation for master and transactional data. Guide and mentor a team of data engineers on ETL best practices and SAP BODS development. Maintain project documentation including BRS, SRS, HLD/DLD, test scripts, and technical support documents. Support PMO activities, including project governance, risk tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting dashboards (Power BI). Ensure compliance with data standards, governance policies, and audit requirements.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP BODS and ETL development, preferably in Oil & Gas or large enterprise environments. Strong expertise in SAP Information Steward, SQL Server, Oracle DB, and SAP Central Management Console. Hands-on experience with master data governance (MDG) projects, data profiling, and data quality management. Solid understanding of ETL, ELT, and data warehousing concepts. Experienced in Python, PySpark, or Azure Data Factory for data transformation and processing. Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering large-scale enterprise data projects. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED:

Experience in SAP MDG implementations for Finance, Material, Vendor, or Customer Master.

Familiarity with financial systems (CFIN) and reporting tools (Power BI).

CONTRACT DURATION:

Renewable, based in Kuala Lumpur

Pay: RM900.00 - RM1,050.00 per day
