Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled

Technical/Functional Tester

to join a leading financial institution for SAP upgrade and transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing complex financial applications, including SAP S/4HANA data migration and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Test financial software applications to ensure quality and accuracy. Create and execute

Test Plans

,

Test Scripts

, and confirm success criteria. Prepare test data, execute test cases, and provide daily status updates to stakeholders. Understand complex system architectures and design test scripts accordingly. Create

Traceability Matrices

to map requirements to test cases. Participate in software design reviews and walkthroughs. Collaborate with business analysts and SMEs to design test plans and scripts. Identify, reproduce, and accurately report defects with detailed bug reports. Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues. Follow up with developers to ensure proper closure of issues. Conduct system and integration testing; review test scripts with SMEs and BAs. Provide evidence of testing and defect status for audit purposes. Log and manage defects in tools like

Jira/XRAY

or

HPQC

; conduct defect triage meetings. Escalate roadblocks to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

4 - 7 years of experience in software testing. Minimum 2 years experience managing

large SAP upgrade/transformation projects

. Strong experience designing test cases and scenarios from requirement documents. Ability to quickly learn complex integrated systems. Proficient with

Test Management Tools

: Jira + XRAY, HPQC, etc. Experience in

API testing

.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience in the

financial services domain

. Hands-on experience testing
