Act as the overall project lead, guiding strategic project direction, planning, and execution.
Provide proactive insights and early warnings on key technical and project issues, working with SMEs to propose viable solutions.
Ensure successful end-to-end implementation of the Finance SAP System Upgrade within the agreed timeline.
Prepare and manage management-level reports, aligning updates with project teams and vendors.
SAP System Implementation & Coordination
Drive the SAP Finance System implementation in compliance with reporting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and manage
SDLC deliverables
with internal teams and vendors, ensuring all required documentation and activities are completed:
Requirements Analysis - ensure business and system requirements are complete and validated.
Finance SAP System RFP - manage and coordinate end-to-end RFP activities.
Enhancement Management - oversee enhancements across source systems and SAP upgrade.
Environment Readiness - ensure development, testing, and production environments are prepared.
System Integration Testing (SIT) - prepare SIT plans, test scripts, and lead execution.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - review UAT plans and scripts and support execution readiness.
Change Management & Compliance
Manage and control application changes to maintain system integrity and stability.
Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, governance policies, BNM guidelines, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Ensure all SDLC documentation meets GIT standards and audit requirements.
Execute corrective and remediation actions related to audit findings within given timelines.
Project Monitoring & Governance
Manage day-to-day project activities including tracking milestones, monitoring status, and managing risks, issues, and change requests.
Ensure alignment between vendors, business stakeholders, and IT on deliverables and timelines.
Maintain strong governance and adhere to project methodologies and standards.
Experience & Knowledge Required
Must-Have
Minimum 5 years
of experience in managing IT application system implementation projects.
Strong understanding of the
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
.
Hands-on experience in managing or supporting
banking applications
.
Proven experience coordinating with vendors, SMEs, and cross-functional teams.
Good-to-Have
Certifications such as
PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner
, or equivalent project management qualifications.
Experience managing or implementing
SAP financial application systems
in a banking or financial institution environment.
Knowledge of regulatory or compliance requirements (e.g., BNM guidelines).
