The SAP Support Consultant (FICO) is responsible for providing day-to-day functional and technical support for SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This includes handling user requests, issue resolution, configuration adjustments, system enhancements, testing, and ensuring smooth integration with other SAP modules. The role requires close collaboration with end users, business process owners, and the technical team to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for SAP FICO modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, AA, CO-CCA, CO-PA).
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP incidents or service requests in a timely manner.
Perform system configuration and functional updates based on approved change requests.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities within SAP.
Support integration between FICO and other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR, etc.).
Conduct unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements or fixes.
Prepare and maintain functional documentation, configuration guides, and user manuals.
Liaise with SAP technical team (ABAP) for development or debugging when required.
Provide user training, guidance, and knowledge transfer for system-related issues.
Ensure adherence to company IT and SAP change management policies.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in SAP FICO support or implementation environment.
Hands-on experience in SAP configuration, testing, and issue resolution within FICO modules.
Familiarity with business processes in Finance and Controlling functions.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and within a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):
Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment.
Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
Exposure to system migration or upgrade projects.
Basic understanding of ABAP debugging and Fiori apps related to FICO.
