Qualification Diploma in Nursing or Medical Assistant Latest APC and BLS at least 1 year working experience Good proficiency in English Language. Duties | School Nurse Assistant The duties and responsibilities of the scope of work include but are not limited to those set out below: Key Responsibilities: Assist School Nurse and provide triage and nursing care in the school health centers\' on a walk-in basis, dealing with medical, physical and psychological needs of the students and wider college community. In the absence of School Nurse, the school nurse assistant should perform medical and nursing care to the students with daily updates to the School Nurse on the treatment given to students. Perform vital signs to the student if required and record in the daily student visit report. Perform basic dressing and wound management to the students presenting with injuries or wounds. Provide First Aid, emergency care and treatment as required on a call out basis. Provide sport specific First Aid on site as required, and off site First Aid cover Provide First Aid support for School events or sports fixtures after school hours and at weekends as pre-arranged and required Perform daily student to Sick Bay report with supervision of the School Nurse. Perform daily stock count of the items and medications placed in Sick Bay. Maintenance of student\'s emergency medication stored in the health centres. Adhere to Malaysian Ministry of Health\'s guidelines regarding infection control and management of infectious diseases. Administering medications under protocol with the advice or supervision of School Nurse. Maintain the stock in the treatment room and be responsible for the hygiene and tidiness of the area. Follow procedures for the safe disposal of clinical waste Maintenance and stocking of Sick Bay First Aid boxes/ kits. Adhering to mandated, ethical and confidential guidelines regarding safe and accurate maintenance of all medical records and all communication method. Report any incidents or accidents to School Nurse prior making any decisions.
