Position Overview

Valley International School is seeking a passionate and experienced

Part-Time Science and Geography Teacher

to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and creativity to the classroom, fostering a love for learning and helping students achieve academic excellence in line with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in

Science

and

Geography

that align with the school's curriculum. Use inquiry-based and hands-on learning approaches to develop curiosity and critical thinking. Adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles and abilities. Incorporate technology and creative instructional strategies to enhance student learning.

Assessment & Feedback

Design and administer formative and summative assessments to track student progress. Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and maintain transparent communication with parents and school leaders. Participate in exam preparation, moderation, and result analysis when required.

Student Engagement & Classroom Management

Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organized learning environment. Foster mutual respect, active participation, and a love for learning. Maintain high standards of classroom discipline and student conduct.

Professional Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues and school leadership to plan and coordinate lessons and assessments. Contribute to school initiatives, meetings, and professional development as needed. Uphold the school's values, professionalism, and commitment to student success.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

in Education or a related field with specialization in

Science

and/or

Geography

.

Teaching qualification

(B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum

2 years of teaching experience

, ideally in an international or Cambridge curriculum setting.

Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

-- essential. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Passionate, reliable, and adaptable in a dynamic school environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From RM50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 17 per week
