Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Physics specialist who can teach Key Stage 3, IGCSE and A-level (there may also be a Head of Department role available for the right person) for a British curriculum school for children aged 3 to 18 based in Pearl City, Penang, Malaysia. The school follows an enhanced British International Curriculum from the Early Years Foundation Stage, to Primary stages and through to IGCSE and Advanced Level (A/AS) courses. Please note that an ability to teach A Level is essential for this role.The school has dedicated English Language Learning and Additional Educational Needs staff, a large range of enrichment activities that include sports, performing arts, culture, science and technology.Candidates should be university educated with an Honours Degree and recognised teaching qualification, and should have evidence of ongoing professional development. They should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the English National Curriculum, and IGCSE and AS and A2 Level curriculums, EAL (English as an Additional Language) provision, current educational issues and up to date curriculum developments and the application of effective learning and teaching strategies that attain high levels of student achievement.
