Scope of Position:

The Security and Environmental, Health and Safety personnel take the lead on all security, health and safety-related matters at the district and reports to the District Manager, who is ultimately responsible for the full implementation of Expeditors' Security and Environmental, Health and Safety Standards at the district.

The personnel is expected to:

  • Manage and operate security systems (Security, Health and Safety Portal, CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, etc.).
  • Coordinate timely completion (within 90 days) of outstanding Security Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions with appropriate parties, and communicate issues to the District Manager and Regional Security Manager/Director.
  • Be a part of the District Business Review meeting to discuss security and environmental, health and safety-related issues, concerns, and best practices.
  • Coach employees and management on how to complete incident reporting per the Security Incident Reporting Standard.
  • Take the lead on all district security incident investigations, in coordination with Regional and Corporate Security.
  • Support Business Continuity Plan development and testing.
  • Manage implementation of all applicable local compliance to Environmental Health and Safety procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Manage Environmental Health and Safety systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, forklifts etc.;related Health and Safety items) as required.
  • Educating employees and Service Providers regarding safety in order to enhance an overall culture of safety in the face of potential resistance.
  • Serving as key point of contact for Operational Process Standards.
  • Ensure 100% District compliance with all local security and environmental, health and safety regulations, in coordination with any District / external compliance officers
  • Ensure 100% District compliance with all Operational Performance Standards (Expeditors Security and Environmental, Health and Safety Standards)
  • Perform Risk Assessments of all facilities in order to identify hazards and mitigate risk to employees and visitors
  • Deliver security, health and safety related trainer led courses as required/requested
  • To take up additional task as required to meet the Department's needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline, or 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of direct experience in a similar position or experience in a global organization, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Ability to drive standards, awareness, compliance and implementation of all security, health & safety related matters.
  • Good knowledge of both local and international security, health & safety regulations.
  • Good English Language skills.
  • Good problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
