Are you ready to take the next big step in your career? Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is looking for a Security Assistant. They forms part of the Security Team who is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment in which guests can relax and/or conduct business. This department establishes, promotes and maintains the Resort\xe2\x80\x99s security and property protection. The Security Team is available 24-hours a day. The Security Officer actively participates in the day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.

We are looking for individuals who are skilled problem solvers with a high attention to detail. The Security Assistant position involves a large amount of contact with guests, local law enforcement and other authorities and excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills are required. As this position is physical in nature candidates must be able to stand for up to 8hrs per shift and lift up to 50lbs. Previous Security experience in a luxury hotel setting is preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

The Security Assistant is the guest\xe2\x80\x99s security and safety ambassador of the Resort, with knowledge of Resort informations.

  • Actively participate in day to day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property.
  • Patrol the property and confront any situations or persons that require investigation.
  • Handle and document guest and employee incidents.
  • Assist handicapped guests.
  • Conduct Buggy License Class.
  • Implement all policies, procedures and instructions regarding safety and security.
  • Assist in implementing preventive safety and security programs.
  • Document all incidents occurring in the hotel in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements.
  • Assist in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbance, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters.
  • Assist in training related to the property\xe2\x80\x99s emergency procedures.
  • Understand and enforce the key control, lock systems, alarm systems, and fire protection system.
  • Make recommendations to the Director of Security in safety & security and other property managers.
  • Respond properly in any emergency or safety situation
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management and staff.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year previous experience in military, law enforcement or security will be an advantage
  • A minimum High School qualification SPM or higher
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Experienced in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
