Job Description

:

• Execution of security management, IT and information security strategy to ensure compliance with company\'s security policies and frameworks.
• Contribute to the leadership of the security incident management and response function in close collaboration with the Group\'s Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), and onshore colleagues in Sydney and Melbourne Australia.
• Contribute to the daily operations of Application security, Cloud security operations.
• Work with local app teams on DevSecOps initiatives.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the organisation and with stakeholders.
• Be the main point of contact in Malaysia for GIS activities as they related to Australia entity.
• Understand current and newly emerging security tools and software that provides detection and prevention capabilities.
• Update and draft new operating procedures where required, including coaching other team members.
• Analyse security metrics and data to support decision making.
• Proactively investigate security topics, incidents, and issues.
• Support project execution and administration as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or any IT related
• At least 7 years\' experience in Cyber Security role gained in a large Financial Services organisation or similar.
• Professional security certifications expected include CISA, CISM, and CISSP are preferred.
• Prior experience in a technology team, including experience in engineering and platforms.
• Tertiary qualification in computer science, technology, or a related discipline preferred.
• Excellent technical skills across Microsoft, Linux, and Network technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of common and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Solid understanding of security best practices.
• Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills with a curious mindset and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated knowledge of common and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
• A record of continuing learning in technology and cyber security disciplines, demonstrated through qualifications, certifications and other training.
• Preference given to candidates with security testing certifications in ethical hacking and penetration testing and demonstrated related work experience.
• Adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Preference is given to candidates with experience working with offshore teams and vendors.
