Essential Job Functions \xc2\xb7 Participate in project management for all security system installations and upgrades. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with other departments during system design, implementation, and commissioning of New VDC buildings to ensure projects are completed per VDC standards and all timelines are met. \xc2\xb7 Monitor and maintain data center\'s Security systems to ensure that all customer\'s security needs are met and functional with maximum uptime. \xc2\xb7 Generate reports as needed for VDC Audits and as required by customers. \xc2\xb7 Prioritize work schedule to minimize impact on customers. \xc2\xb7 Create, manage and maintain access levels for all Vantage data centers. \xc2\xb7 Retrieve video footage as requested or required for legal, law enforcement or operational review. \xc2\xb7 Manage all service requests for site repairs and maintenance. \xc2\xb7 Manage all security related vendors for installations, on-going service, and repairs to ensure timelines are met. \xc2\xb7 Hands-on troubleshooting and repair as needed. \xc2\xb7 Document all critical evolutions, lessons learned, and find possible efficiency gains in processes. \xc2\xb7 Support, and monitor vendor activities ensuring work activities meet scope of work and follow established procedures. \xc2\xb7 Develop and implement Standard Operations Procedures. \xc2\xb7 Manage tasks in accordance with client SLAs. \xc2\xb7 Respond as needed when system maintenance or complications arise \xc2\xb7 Other duties may be assigned from time-to-time by management. Job Requirements \xc2\xb7 Associate of Science degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Technology preferred. \xc2\xb7 5+ years of experience managing security systems, required. \xc2\xb7 3+ years of experience with Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Surveillance System (VSS) required. \xc2\xb7 In-depth, hands-on expertise with all low-voltage security technologies (CCTV, access control, IP networking and structured cabling. \xc2\xb7 Experience designing security systems for new buildings or facilities, to include placement of access control systems, cameras, and call buttons. \xc2\xb7 Project management experience managing large scale projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of networking concepts (IP addresses, MAC addresses). \xc2\xb7 Genetec certification highly desired or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. \xc2\xb7 Experience with Traka Systems. \xc2\xb7 Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required. \xc2\xb7 Able to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers. \xc2\xb7 Ability to lift 50lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of weights above 50lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person \xc2\xb7 Fluent in English, written and verbal. \xc2\xb7 Travel is expected to be less than 25%, but may be higher during construction projects.
