POSITION SUMMARY

Working within our dynamic and fast-growing 3D team, you will be part of a very creative section of the business. SGK Malaysia is the groups global 3D centre of excellence and you will have the opportunity to be a part of this during its rapid expansion.

You will be responsible for producing a variety of 3D images for our clients\' products - for some of the biggest brands in the world.

This role requires exceptional realism and quality modelling, texturing and lighting rather than other aspects such as animation or effects-based work.

You will be required to possess hands-on experience in using 3D Studio Max/ Keyshot/ ESKO Studio Advanced and responsible to support the production of photorealistic renders of packaging artwork for well-known CPG brands.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production of photorealistic renders of our clients packaging and products.
• Visualization of packaging concepts working from design sketches.
• Responsible for: Wireframe construction from low poly to manufacturing grade; Lighting and texturing - applying pre-set lighting and textures to wireframes to match client requirements/ end user intent; Rendering using available in-house or cloud solutions; Effects creation such as liquids; and Rig files for future animation use.
• Creation of libraries of 3D meshes for common packaging types.
• Assist in management of render farm and queue management.
• Interpretation of supplied CAD data into photorealistic renders.
• Application of Photoshop post work to rendered scenes as required.
• Proactively anticipate and resolve issues with limited supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Secondary School/ Diploma/ Degree level in Art & 3D Design or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job.
• Minimum of 1 year commercial experience in a 3D production environment is preferred.
• Possess experience using 3D software commercially in structural design, packaging concept design or other related fields will be added advantage.
• Required software skills: Autodesk 3DS MAX, VRAY, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Hands-on experience in using 3D software such as 3D Studio Max/ Keyshot, or ESKO Studio Advanced.
• We are open to consider applicants with hands-on 3D software experience in other industries, and experiences in using other 3D software.
• Language required: English written and spoken.
• Mature, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
