KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

(1) Financial Accounting

• Prepare high-quality revenue and costs analysis as well as unit cost fluctuation to assess the Baleh's profitability and financial performance by comparing to the budget and historical trends.
• Review and analyze the actual expenditure incurred and its nature, whether shall be Capital Expenditure or Operational Expenditure and ensure all the cost are captured accurately and accrued at month end.
• Communicate effectively and work closely with various functions within Finance and cross departments, such as Contract & Procurement, Projects Delivery, Asset Owners etc. regarding contract documents, progress billings, variation orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services.
• Prepare Board Papers and presentation slides for Baleh Board meetings.
• Lead the adoption of new/revised MFRS through working closely with the Business Unit and perform research on impact analysis and gap analysis in particular new accounting standards, new business activities etc. and present to the Business Unit.

(2) Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Analyses key financial information to facilitate managerial planning and commercial decision making that will ensure future growth and profitability of Baleh.
• Plan and execute the budgetary reporting activities for the Baleh including Revenue Budget, Capital Expenditure Budget and Inventory Budget for Board approval timely.

(3) Performance Management Reporting

• Lead the team in identifying opportunities/areas of improvement, root causes of issues, and implementing necessary operational changes (value creation and performance improvement projects) and deliver measurable improvements alongside with other departments/functions to enable the business to perform to its optimum ability and deliver value.

(4) Others

• Participate in information system modernisation, Enterprise ERP system upgrade, digital transformation for integrated reporting.
• Provide coaching, conduct training and knowledge sharing with other team members.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure, and the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines
• Able to work under face-paced environment and tight reporting deadlines while managing other ad-hoc tasks
• Always be alert and aware of the changes in the reporting requirements as to comply with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax Act, 1967 as well as the Companies Act 2016 in Malaysia

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Recognized degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in accounting and reporting functions

SKILLS:

• In-depth knowledge with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and the requirements of the Companies Act 2016 in Malaysia
• Knowledgeable and effective compliance of tax rulings and business laws
• Knowledgeable and experience of SAP Financial & Control Module (FICO), SAP Asset Accounting Module (AA) and SAP Material Management (MM) are advantages
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to work towards deadlines, prioritise and handle multiple projects at any one time
