3. Support site management and team on site finance/accounting mattersPosition Summary
1. This position will conduct Malaysia site accounting operations, support financial reporting and local tax. This position is based in Johor, Malaysia.Responsibilities & Duties
1. Daily accounting and financial close
Process day-to-day accounting for payment requests and intercompany transactions
Conduct month-end closing for Malaysia, ensure accurate and timely financial close and reporting
Prepare account reconciliation timely and follow up discrepancies
2. Fixed assets and costing
Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed assets in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirement, including new assets creation, appropriate depreciation, assets transfer, disposal or retirement
Ensure accurate and timely product cost set up through understanding of production process and coordination with relevant departments; Monitor cost variance from budget and standard; Investigate root causes of cost variances; make proposal of cost saving initiatives
Lead and coordinate annual physical fixed assets process and annual physical inventory process
Closely work with Manager on UAT of fixed assets and cost accounting for Malaysia site
3. Local STAT and tax
Assist Manager on local STAT financial report and STAT audit preparation, coordinate with local auditor
Support tax filing through collaboration with external tax advisors, assist Manager on TP documentationRequirement
1. Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, or a related field
2. At least 5 years working experience in MNC companies with strong accounting skills; manufacturing cost accounting experience is a plus
3. Understanding of Malaysia local principles and experience of Malaysia tax is preferred
4. Experience of Oracle is a plus
5. Good in English; Chinese oral communication skill is a plusPersonal Trait Profile
