Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and internal policies. This role involves preparing accurate financial reports, managing audits, and supporting management with financial analysis to drive sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS and company policies. Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, including SST, corporate tax filings, and other statutory requirements. Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities. Review and monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support management in financial planning. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, ensuring their tasks are completed accurately and on time. Assist in the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and systems. Additional task assigned by The Management Team & CFO.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Diploma and SPM are welcome to apply too. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation, and statutory requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
