Global Financial Reporting, - Senior Financial Accountant

Location- Malaysia (Remote)

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant within our Global Financial Reporting team. This role would suit a highly motivated individual looking for an entry point into the Group Finance function of a dynamic, large, multi-national ASX-listed organisation.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

Reporting to the Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Global Financial Reporting, this is a key role in the Group\xe2\x80\x99s month-end and external reporting process, with opportunities to enhance control and quality of reporting across the Group.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Preparation of month end Group reporting close tasks including:

• Group consolidation journal entries
• Preparation of Group balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitoring, reporting, and assisting to resolve Hyperion validations.
• Managing and resolving intercompany mismatches
• Other ad hoc month end task as required by management

• Preparation of group statutory reporting and compliance requirements for both half and full year reporting including:

• Annual and Interim Financial Report
• Investor presentations

• Ad hoc activities including:

• Attend to ad-hoc Hyperion queries
• Investigation of system errors (HFM - Hyperion)
• Preparation/review of ABS surveys if required
• Opportunities for involvement in the Group\xe2\x80\x99s reporting system implementation project
• Other analysis as required by Senior Manager or Manager
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to improve quality and efficiencies.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Tertiary qualified in Business, Accounting or Finance or a similar discipline
• Strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements
• Accounting/auditing experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work under tight timelines across multiple time zones and prioritize important/urgent task

Beneficial Background and experience:

\xc2\xb7 Hyperion Planning or HFM expertise (Oracle);

• Experience delivering in a large-scale, geographically dispersed fast-paced environment;
