Reporting to the Accounting Manager (AM), the Senior Accountant is responsible for the Accounting and Statutory Compliance activities of Wolters Kluwer Operations in Taiwan and Philippines. The Senior Accountant has the following core responsibilities:

• Complete ownership for closing monthly accounts for WK Taiwan and WK Philippines business.
• Maintenance of the general ledger through journal processing and adjustment, as required,
• Preparation/Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including all sub-ledgers
• Research and analyze complex accounting & tax issues for the areas within the scope of this role in accordance with tax legislations.
• Manage and prepare requested materials for Audits and ensure accounts file with the relevant authorities in a timely manner.
• Interface with tax advisers to ensure the corporate tax compliance, income tax provisions and tax accounting are coordinated consistently, and appropriate tax and regulatory filings are made on a timely basis
• Highlight non-compliance issues to senior management
• Monitor and provide advice to Senior management for changes in tax legislation and Accounting standards
• Participation in meeting of all reporting deadlines, as determined by Finance management
• Other ad-hoc tasks as determined by the AM

Essential:

• Seven to ten years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an Accountant role
• Degree/CPA /completed of professional accounting qualification with a recognised body (preferably CPA, CA, CIMA or ACCA)
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team player
• Technical sound and prior experience in audit & tax compliance

Desirable:

• Knowledge of SAP
• Advanced Excel
