We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at KY MAJU MART SDN.BHD. in Kuantan, Pahang. As a full-time Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting and reporting functions of our company. This is a crucial role that will have a significant impact on the overall success and financial health of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations Manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the integrity of the financial records Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support the company's financial planning and decision-making Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process Provide financial reporting and analysis to the management team, highlighting key trends and performance indicators Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement necessary process improvements Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and problem-solving Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity
