Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Shared Service centre based in Petaling Jaya to manage their financial reporting and compliance for one of their China entities. This role is critical in ensuring accurate local statutory reporting, auditing, and bookkeeping, while supporting the business with timely and reliable financial information.

• Prepare and review local financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements (China entity)
• Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including statutory and tax audits.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with China GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, vendor reconciliations, and payment approvals.
• Work closely with banks and other financial institutions for transactions and process improvements.
• Utilize SAP for accounting and reporting tasks, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for China operations.

The successful candidate will have;

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
• Strong understanding of China accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a FMCG environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and MS Excel.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines.
