Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

Make sure all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized in the general ledger. Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes are accurate and completed on time. Assist with the preparation of consolidated group accounts.

2. general Ledger & Reconciliation

Oversee all aspects of the general ledger and ensure proper journal entries. Perform and review account reconciliations for bank, intercompany, accruals, and prepayments. Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure that depreciation is properly entered. Monitor and correct inconsistencies in accounting records.

3. Internal Controls & Audit

Create and maintain internal financial controls and processes. Manage the coordination of internal auditors during the audit.

4. Team Leadership & Support

Supervise and provide guidance to junior accountants and finance assistants. Review junior team member's work to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide training and development opportunities to boost the team's capabilities.

5. System & Process Improvement

Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting and reporting processes. Help with digitalization and automation initiatives in finance operations. Diagnose accounting system issues and propose process enhancements.

Requirements:

1. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.

2. Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in n senior or supervisory role. Audit firm experience is an added advantage.

3. Accounting Software

Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.

4. Soft Skills

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
