Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

Verify that all general ledger transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified. Ensure the accurate and timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Assist in the preparation of consolidated accounts for the entire group.

2. general Ledger & Reconciliation

Maintain General Ledger accuracy through the review and processing of all journal entries. Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, accruals, and prepaid expenses. Handle the fixed asset register maintenance, ensuring accurate depreciation calculation and entry. Manage the monitoring and resolution of all accounting record discrepancies.

3. Internal Controls & Audit

Responsible for developing and maintaining internal financial controls and processes. Manage communication between the company and internal auditors throughout the audit engagement.

4. Team Leadership & Support

Mentor and supervise junior accountants and finance assistants. Review junior staff work output to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. Lead training and development efforts to improve the team's skills and expertise.

5. System & Process Improvement

Liaise with various departments to drive accounting and reporting efficiency improvements. Participate in projects related to finance digitalization and automation. Identify and analyze issues within the accounting system and propose solutions for process optimization.

Requirements:

1. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.

2. Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in n senior or supervisory role. Audit firm experience is an added advantage.

3. Accounting Software

Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.

4. Soft Skills

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
