Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with Local Services and other Financial Services functional teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts for Evonik companies across Asia Pacific in accordance with work instructions and SmartClose checklist. Perform troubleshooting of issues and challenges related to Fixed Assets processes Execute Internal Control System accordance to the guideline and ensure the Internal Control System documentation is in place Establish and maintain strong working relationship with Local Services, cross team and Center of Excellence Ensure all work instructions, standard operating procedures and local specific variances are updated and reviewed Supporting Local Services in terms of internal and external audit Monitor and ensure the queries are attended and revert in a timely, responsible and proactive manner Support in the implementation of project initiatives rollout by Global team Continuously explore alternatives in driving process improvement and harmonization in areas of operation Undertake in any ad hoc assignment, projects and migrations that may be assigned from time to time. Able to coach and provide guidance / solutions if there are issues faced by the analyst / junior analyst on work related matters. Identify skill gap and develop upskilling training for the team. Assist in managing on boarding process and knowledge retention for the team Requirements Holds a Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting or Finance. Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience. Strong communications skills both verbal and written in English & Mandarin. Proficiency in languages would be an added advantage depending on the individual assignment, different language skills will be required. A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Knowledge and understanding of IFRS, Fixed Asset process and other accounting functions. Experience working in SAP or other major ERP system\'s work environment would be an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem solving skills - able to identify and troubleshoot system issues. Exposure to shared services environment would be preferred.
