Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst / Programmer to support and enhance the LifeAsia System within our Core Systems team. This role involves working closely with internal IT and business teams, project squads, and vendors to deliver initiatives, change requests, and production fixes. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in LifeAsia modules and product lifecycle features, and will contribute to system design, development, and ongoing support in alignment with SDLC and IT governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and resolve application functionality errors within SLA timelines. Perform program changes, unit testing, and support user acceptance testing. Implement fixes and enhancements in the production environment. Assist business users in optimizing system usage and updating user manuals. Analyze and enhance systems based on new user requirements. Identify opportunities for system functionality improvements aligned with business needs. Monitor and maintain acceptable system performance levels. Coordinate with infrastructure and DBA teams for system stability, health checks, and housekeeping. Ensure adherence to SMART/400 coding and design standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in application development, preferably in the life insurance domain.

Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Proficient in:

AS400 SMART/400 QUERY400 COBOL Control Language SQL Development Robot technology
Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with LifeAsia product table setups and lifecycle features. In-depth understanding of LifeAsia modules and various life insurance product types. Ability to analyze technical impacts on interfacing systems. Experience in producing system design solutions and technical documentation. Familiarity with IT governance and SDLC best practices.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
