We also understand and appreciate that diversity is a driver of creativity and innovation, which will make our business more competitive, compelling and profitable.\xe2\x80\x9dJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:What you will do:Overall responsibility and accountability for architecture of technology systems within Astro content platforms in AABC and the ACBC broadcast centers.Work with the Head of Broadcast Engineering in making best possible recommendation and decision on Technology selection for all core technology infrastructure.Responsible and accountable to ensure the implementation of the chosen technology to industry standards.Ensure initiatives and project related activities are carried out on-time, within budget and achieve a high-quality result, providing systems that are resilient to failure.Validate the development and presentation of comprehensive Project proposal for all proposed technology Infrastructure, in consultation with relevant Business Units objectives.Prepare and Manage system architecture related budgets.Manage the design, development and maintenance of platform architecture and technical facility \xe2\x80\x93 including all systems related toa. Delivery Platforms for DTH, OTT, Mobileb. Automation Systemsd. Transmission Systemse. Playout Centersf. Monitoring systems etc.Manage new technical or technology design or testing initiatives.Work with the PMO office to Track project expenditure and timelines on an ongoing basis using an industry-recognized project management methodology to eliminate budget and timeline overruns wherever possible and to alert senior management at the earliest opportunity when any may occur, to minimize their overall impact to the business.Manage vendor relationship and maintain a close liaison with industry suppliers and equipment vendors to identify best of breed technologies for platform capabilities expansion or new requirements.Work with the Head of Broadcast Engineering to manage the selection and appointments of all key technology vendors and partners.Maintain close ties with Business Units to quickly identify and resolve their ongoing technology requirements.Work with the General Councils Office to negotiate technology contracts and write technical clauses, scope of works schedules etc. for inclusion in equipment and facilities contracts.Monitor industry trends and to provide appropriate and cost-effective Platform and Production facilities solutions.Manage a cost-effective and efficient system architecture services organization.Employ the necessary expertise.Support the Head of Broadcast Engineering in all technical matters related to Platform architectureWho you are:Formal tertiary Degree, in Engineering majoring in Electronics, Networking, IT or Broadcast or equivalent.Minimum of 12 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a large professional television broadcast facility.
