As the Senior Associate, Development Engineering Process, you will contribute primarily to the technical development of manufacturing process for formula intermediate and finished products as well as expanding capabilities beyond existing process in support of SC Johnson (SCJ)\xe2\x80\x99s Pest Control Business. You will participate in the technical development of new formulations for products in support of SCJ\xe2\x80\x99s Pest Control Business and assist with technology advancements which result in consumer preferred benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform trials and testing to support small-scale product preparations for internal testing, small consumer testing, and process validation and assist with experiments to scale up laboratory qualified formulations and processes and establish viable manufacturing processes
- Demonstrate skills in experimental design and statistics to identify alternative process and validate preferred approaches to meet business and project objectives
- Author process instructions through collaboration with manufacturing engineers internally and externally
- Collaborate with multifunctional core teams (R&D, Design, Finance, Marketing, Consumer Research, & Supply Chain) to successfully contribute to the development and launch of new products in an accelerated manner
- Provide technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to evaluate and correct process-related issues to maintain production schedules & product quality as needed
- Participate in workstream to support functional capability outside of projects, which include sustainability, 10X, safety
- Participate in formulation development to meet internal ingredient standards and industry best practices for safety, scientific significance, accuracy, and recordkeeping
- Formulate new products, product changes, assist in leading technology advancements, and competitive assessments which result in new consumer benefits, reduced cost or improved environmental impact of the products
- Execute all formula relevant testing and trials within the laboratory, and work within the pilot plant for prototype preparation, evaluation testing, validation with accurate recording and reporting of data
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical Engineering, or other relevant Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in consumer product process development
- Proficiency with Designs of Experiment
- Chemical formulation experience would be an added advantage
- Permanent \xe2\x80\x93 full time job
