Senior Associate - OTCLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we craft and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.As a key player in the finance operations role at Smith+Nephew Finance, you will ensure the effective and efficient execution of Order to Cash processes. This includes adhering to the designated control metrics outlined in the S+N Finance Order to Cash taxonomy, following the requirements of the Group Finance Manual.What will you be doing?Contact customers through various channels to collect outstanding debt, ensuring adherence to payment terms and diligent follow-up on overdue amounts. Coordinate customer queries with relevant departments for effective dispute resolution.Handle customer administration needs to facilitate invoice payments, including sending account statements, dunning letters, and providing invoice copies when required. Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts, negotiating payment plans as vital.Be responsible for a portfolio of accounts spanning low, medium, and high complexity levels, contributing to accurate customer master data and following assigned collections strategies. Ensure meticulous tracking of contacts and customer responses in the system as per standard operating procedures.Report statistics, flag bad debt risks to the Credit Manager, and bring up issues accordingly. Monitor customer credit limits, proactively establish links with customers, and maintain compliance with collections policies and procedures. Additionally, support the Team Manager in various operational tasks, perform quality checks, implement operational improvements, and foster strong collaborative relationships with internal departments.What will you need to be successful?Minimum Graduation or equivalent academic background required.2 years of collections or cash application experience in an international setting, with credit knowledge considered effective. Proficiency in end-to-end OTC operational and financial controls, along with a proven track record of implementing operational improvements. Intermediate Excel skills, SAP experience, and familiarity with GetPaid are helpful.Proficient in English (written and spoken), with proficiency in a second language used in business communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, accountability, and adeptness in operating optimally in fast-paced, fast-paced environments.
