Job Description

The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining automation systems in a food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency and ensuring quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in control systems, instrumentation and PLC programming.:1) Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize production processes2) Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems to minimize downtime3) Analyse and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment, ensuring continuous operation4) Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for control systems5) Lead automation projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management6) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure project success7) Ensure all automation systems comply with food safety, health, and environmental regulations8) Establish instrumentation calibration management procedure, coordinate calibration activities and maintain calibration certificate archive9) Ensure the availability of critical automation spare parts to minimize production downtime10) Provide technical training and support to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems11) Mentor junior engineer and technicians, sharing expertise and best practicesRequirements:1) Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems2) Any training certificate related to PLC/SCADA and Instrumentation is an added advantage3) Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering4) 4-6 years of experience5) Good command on both English and Bahasa Malaysia6) Microsoft Office, SAP, TIA Portal, Simatic Manager7) PLC/SCADA, Instrumentation, Motor Control, Troubleshooting, Calibration, Maintenance, Testing & Commissioning, Project ManagementIf you encounter difficulties, please for technical assistance.Best viewed with Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Chrome 30 or higher and Firefox 10 or higher
