This is a 3-year contract role*

About

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, commissioning, and optimization of our new production plant. You will be responsible for translating design concepts into a fully functional, world-class automated manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Implementation:

Design, develop, and optimize custom PLC/HMI programs (Siemens platform preferred) to maximize manufacturing efficiency and reliability. Architect and build real-time production dashboards for comprehensive performance monitoring and data driven decision-making. Develop and implement predictive maintenance systems to proactively reduce downtime.
Plant Commissioning & Operational Readiness:

Lead and execute on-site commissioning, system integration, and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) of automated processes. Develop and finalize all system documentation, including SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance manuals. Train and mentor cross-functional teams ( on the operation and maintenance of new automated systems.

Requirements:

A minimum of

5 years

of proven experience in automation engineering, specifically within a manufacturing environment Experience in cryogenics, process engineering, or heavy industrial sectors is highly advantageous. A demonstrable portfolio of successfully completed automation projects from design to commissioning.

Expert-level proficiency in PLC/HMI programming

(Siemens TIA Portal strongly preferred). Hands-on experience with SCADA systems implementation. Knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT) concepts and integration Proven experience in

control panel design

, interpretation, and creation of

electrical schematics.

High proficiency in AutoCAD for system design and layout. Formal training or proven experience in

Project Management

, with the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively. Willing and able to commit to significant on-site work during the commissioning phases. Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
