Senior Bi Engineer
Job Description
Minimum 5 years of experience in being Bi Engineer role.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.
Responsible for the full life cycle development , implementation, production support and performance tuning of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Mart and Business Intelligence, Reporting Environments and support the integration of these systems with other applications.
Analyzes business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions.
Documents of new and existing models, solutions and implementations.
Enhances the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and indexes.
Experience of complex report development using tools such as Power Bi, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos TM1.
1. Collaborate with the Data Engineer and Data Modeller to
understand data sources, transformation logic, and business requirements
for the project2. Develop
conceptual, logical, and physical data models
aligned with the project's data architecture, ensuring consistency acrossbronze and gold
layers3. Document and maintain
metadata
, including data dictionaries, field definitions, business rules, and transformation mappings, withinData Hub
or other metadata management tools.4. Analyse source-to-target data mapping to ensure accuracy and completeness of transformation logic.
5. Work with stakeholders to capture business definitions, KPIs, and data usage requirements.
6. Conduct data profiling and quality analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies
7. Partner with data governance teams to ensure compliance with data privacy, anonymization, and classification standards
8. Support testing and validation of transformed datasets to ensure they meet business and technical specifications
9. Provide ongoing updates and clear documentation to ensure transparency across the project lifecycle

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
