Role Responsibilities

The role holder is part of Wealth Management Core platform tribe and participate actively in the delivery of Core Platform tribe roadmap specific to UTS application and support the achievement of Hive OKRs.

As an empowered member of the UTS Wealth Core Platform, the role holder

  • Defines the requirements and software solutions to resolve business-related problems and meet strategic organizational goals.
  • Facilitates business change management and process design by developing detailed software/functional
requirements and process flow diagrams.
  • Works closely with end users, business units, and other IT resources in all stages of project life cycle, including investigation, analysis, design, testing, and implementations to ensure business requirements are successfully implemented. This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, technical knowledge, productivity, and professionalism. This is a hands-on position requiring strong analyst skills, and business expertise.
  • Partner with business/user group representatives to understand business processes and underlying informational and/or process automation needs, then translating those needs into formal, documented user stories for SPRINT development
  • Works together in a collaborative manner with squad members to deliver a potentially releasable increment of 'Done' product at the end of each Sprint. A 'Done' increment is required at the Sprint Review. Only members of the squad create the increment. Squad members are empowered by the organisation to organise and manage their own work.
  • Create and encourage a culture of Self-organising squad by being supportive to one another
  • Cross-functional, with all the skills as a team necessary to create a Product Increment
In the new Ways of working, accountability belongs to the squad members, even though individual team members may have specialised skills and areas of focus. Teams will engage with external stakeholders as necessary and squad members will proactively seek guidance from the PO when required

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Should have a technical or numerate degree in subjects such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience working in a Bank or Financial Institution or in Banking Technology
  • Good to have experience and understanding of Wealth Management Backend Operations
  • Good to have experience in Trade Lifecycle, Front End -to-Back End trade flow
  • Good to have experience in Mutual Fund, Bonds, Structured Products, Insurance trade processing including Settlement handling with Custodian
  • Ability and experience to take ownership of business requirements and manage them through to delivery
  • Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques
  • Ability to accurately translate and document business needs into functional requirements and produce quality documentation
  • Experience in Agile methodology and create User Stories for the Requirements
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and display strong initiative
  • Proven ability to work across business streams, exposure to front to back system implementations
  • Technical background would be beneficial
  • Understanding/ Speaking of Mandarin & Cantonese Language would be an added advantage
Functional Alignment
  • Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with Business, COO/ Operations, T&I, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups to support the tribe deliverables
  • Escalate appropriately to ensure key stakeholders like Chief product owner, Product owners, scrum masters are updated and able to intervene as required.

  • Demonstrate and act as a role model of the Group's values and culture in the region
  • Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement
  • Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to squads
  • Ensure squad capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.
