Job Description

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee civil and structural engineering works for airport building projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Review and approve construction drawings, technical documents, method statements, and shop drawings. Supervise site activities including structural works, architectural coordination, and building-related civil works (e.g., foundations, concrete works, drainage, pavement interfaces). Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and airport authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution. Conduct inspections and site assessments to monitor workmanship quality, progress, and adherence to project timelines. Identify engineering issues, propose corrective actions, and implement solutions to prevent delays or non-conformities. Ensure compliance with airport safety, security, and operational requirements throughout construction. Monitor progress and prepare technical reports, progress reports, and updates for management and stakeholders. Participate in project meetings, highlight risks or deviations, and provide engineering expertise to support decision-making. Oversee material submissions, testing, and quality compliance in accordance with project specifications and standards. Support the project manager in planning, scheduling, and managing resources for smooth project delivery. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to site teams.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in civil/building construction; experience in airport or high-security infrastructure projects is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of structural works, building construction methods, airport building requirements, and relevant engineering standards. Proficient in reading and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and BIM models (if applicable). Hands-on experience in site supervision, quality control, material inspection, and contractor coordination. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical engineering solutions on-site. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with consultants, authorities, and project stakeholders. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage site teams and ensure high-quality delivery. Familiarity with quality management systems, safety regulations, and compliance procedures for airport projects. Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
