Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1) Project Leadership & Management (50%):

Serve as the lead technical engineer for large and complex projects, managing multidisciplinary teams. Oversee all project stages, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, tender preparation, and construction administration. Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and within cost. Act as a primary technical point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.

2) Advanced Design & Review (30%):

Perform complex engineering design and analysis for major bridge structures (e.g., long-span, complex interchanges) and demanding road alignments. Conduct thorough review and final approval of engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and contractor submittals. Implement value engineering strategies to optimize design and construction efficiency.

3) Site & Risk Management (20%):

Provide expert technical guidance and oversight to site teams to resolve critical construction issues and field changes. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and construction risks associated with the project. Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional development.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Structural, Transportation) preferred. Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent professional registration required. Experience:

5 to 10 years

of extensive and relevant professional experience in civil engineering, including substantial project management responsibility in:

Bridge Work:

Deep experience in the design, construction, and inspection of various bridge types and materials.

Road Construction:

Expertise in highway design standards (e.g., AASHTO, local standards), traffic management, and complex pavement and drainage systems.

Construction Works:

Proven ability to manage large construction contracts, construction phase services, and quality assurance/quality control programs.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency with industry-leading design software (e.g., Midas, SAP2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D). Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex technical and contractual issues.
