About this role
The Senior Civil Engineer will provide infrastructures consulting engineering services to clients of Arup Malaysia. This role will aim to develop key knowledge and skills that will allow you to provide a high-quality consultant services. This may take the form of undertaking relevant modelling, analytical research, and design work within infrastructure business. There will be a structured career plan and development program to assist you in attaining the desired level of knowledge and skills.

What will I do?

• Undertake strategic planning projects, including feasibility analysis, impact assessments, modelling and developing high-value strategies for clients across public and private sectors.
• Lead the technical input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard with technical input on a broad range of projects
• Provide detailed design work across a broad range of projects within Civil engineering, master planning, transport, and related areas
• Review, supervision, and development of technical skills within the team
• Provide input into the on-going skill development within the infrastructure group through such activities as the mentoring of less-experienced staff members; researching/developing novel technical/design applications and/or procedures; and playing a key support role to senior staff members in all formal and informal training-related activities.

What will I bring?

• Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant experience in Civil and Structural works
• Obtained Malaysia PE or Chartered Engineer status and knowledge of Eurocode and BIM standardard is an added advantage
• Familiar with British/Malaysian and other international codes and practices, contract administration and authorities\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and submission procedures
• Substantial knowledge and consulting and technical experience in civil and structural engineering and related areas with ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses, and report on results
• Awareness/knowledge of digital tools and software (e.g. ArcGIS, OpenRoad, MITS, IPANET, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Rhinoceros 3D, Bluebeam, ProjectWise, or similar)
