POSITION : Senior Coordinator, Logistics

REPORTING TO : Head of Materials Management

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : PBF/L

LOCATION : KL Office

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

• To coordinate freight forwarding operations in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• To ensure compliance on freight forwarding practices and procedures relating to import/export logistics and vessel processes including policies and procedures for local and foreign origin and destinations.
• To ensure effective and safe movement of vessels and cargo.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in the coordination and preparation of all necessary documentation for the movement of cargo.
• Liaise closely with PTTEP Labuan, Bintulu Logistics, Procurement, warehouse, and end user to ensure shipments are expedited smoothly and timely.
• Researching and planning the most appropriate route with forwarding agent for an outgoing shipment (taking account of the perishable or hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time, security, relevant legislation, political situations and other factors).
• Arranging with warehouse and forwarding agent on appropriate packing (taking account of climate, terrain, weight, nature of goods and cost) and delivery of goods to their final destination.
• Handle the processing, preparation, tracking and maintaining of reports and files for all operations records, correspondence, plans and expenses.
• Arranging insurance and assisting the end user in the event of a claim.
• Observe Labuan Port Authority, Asian Supply Base and BPSB established guidelines and procedures.
• To perform any other relevant duties as assigned and/or directed by the Employer.

4. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES

• Comply with Asian Supply Base, Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd and Kemaman Supply Base safety operation guideline.
• Familiar with the transportation of hazardous substances, restricted materials and dangerous goods.
• Participate in emergency response and support in accordance with Onshore base and Offshore Emergency Response and Support Plan.
• Implement usage and regulate the \xe2\x80\x9cUnsafe Act Unsafe Condition\xe2\x80\x9d (UAUC) and \xe2\x80\x9cPositive Observation Card\xe2\x80\x9d safety program.

5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP

• Sabah & Sarawak Asset, Lang Lebah Project Team, Construction, Fabrication and Drilling personnel.
• PTTEP Procurement Department.
• PTTEP assigned freight forwarding agent or other third party agents.
• Malaysian Customs, MITI and SIRIM Department.

6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

• Min Diploma in Business Administration/Logistics or Warehouse Management and 10 years of related working experience in logistics and freight and forwarding operations.
• Knowledge in trade-related domestic and international laws, Customs Regulations, Duties, Trade Regulations, and other Global Trade Operations.
• Computer literate and familiar with MS office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English Language

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of team work and coping with a busy environment
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be pro-active in achieving goals.
