Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Originate, structure, and execute RM and non-Ringgit Bilateral, Club Deal, and Syndicated Project Finance transactions for Malaysian investors and exporters operating in cross-border markets. Assist and guide Relationship Managers (RMs) in structuring credit proposals, ensuring comprehensive due diligence and robust credit assessments for Project Finance, Syndicated, and Working Capital facilities. Conduct detailed due diligence for Project Financing, including review of key contractual documents and counterparties' financial and operational information. Ensure full compliance with the Bank's internal policies, credit guidelines, and risk management frameworks in all operational and strategic activities. Review and present credit proposals and annual/watchlist reviews prepared by RMs to the Credit Committee or Board for approval and endorsement. Oversee portfolio management of existing accounts, including credit-related matters, monitoring performance, and conducting site visits to customers' business premises when required. Review and ensure timely issuance and acceptance of Letters of Offer/Facility Letters, coordinating subsequent legal documentation and completion processes. Lead pre-disbursement meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate execution of financing disbursements. Liaise with multilateral development banks, export credit agencies (ECAs), and international banks for industry and country risk assessments and financing collaborations. Represent the Bank at industry events, government and private sector exhibitions, and networking sessions to promote EXIM Bank's financing solutions. Ensure timely reporting on banking pipeline progress, deal status, and overall team performance.
Ideal Candidate ProfileEducation & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's Degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM) will be an added advantage.
Experience

Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in corporate banking, structured finance, or project finance. Proven track record in originating and executing complex cross-border financing transactions. Prior experience with government-linked companies (GLCs), multilateral institutions, or ECAs is highly desirable. Experience in managing large-value credit portfolios and leading high-performing banking teams.
Technical & Functional Skills

In-depth knowledge of syndicated lending, project finance structures, risk assessment methodologies, and international banking regulations. Strong capability in preparing and reviewing comprehensive credit proposals and financial models. Solid understanding of legal documentation, facility structuring, and disbursement procedures.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior Relationship Managers. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. Effective communicator with the ability to engage confidently with senior management, Board members, clients, and international partners.

Pay: RM3,114.38 - RM15,357.01 per month
