Our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is now looking for a Senior Cost Estimator.

What will you be doing?

  • Produce cost and price analyses for the Engineering of FPSO, Fixed Facilities or Floaters.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Project Resources and Finance to help ensure they provide the correct input on time. Suggest cost optimizations based on lessons learned.
  • Establish/ highlight lesson learned for the cost estimation and tender.
  • Produce meaningful benchmark comparisons with normalized historical data to enable effective decision-making in reviews.
  • Produce accurate cash flow analyses.
  • Produce cost and price consolidations as per Clients\'s requirement, as well as cost/price overview charts.
  • Establish and input potential risks in the Risk Register.
  • Maintain price reference for standard item (eg: Facilities Mgmt, IT) to be used during tender.
  • Establish and submit Exception /Qualifications related to bids for review.
  • Ensure compliance with Aker Solutions Governance Model for Tender/ Cost Procedures.
  • Run effective cost and finance reviews in compliance with Tender Governance and Work Instructions. Proactively highlight important information, e.g. technical/commercial assumptions that may have cost impacts, negative cashflows, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure approval obtained from tender responsible before overall cost consolidation and pricing.
  • Ensure proper handover of cost and price information to the project execution team.
  • Take accountability to deliver the assigned scope. Plan and lead the assigned team to ensure the stipulated schedule, budget and quality requirements are met.
  • Provide training, peer reviews, and interpretation of company procedures and client specifications to less experienced team members.
  • Support global and departmental objectives and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold personal business ethic of not revealing any cost information or sources of information to anyone without prior written consent from management.

We think you should have:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Engineering or other related fields from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in costing complex Engineering of FPSO, Fixed Facilities or Floaters Project.
  • Strong sense of business acumen, highly capable of seeing the \xe2\x80\x9cbig picture\xe2\x80\x9d and of anticipating senior management decision-makers\xe2\x80\x99 needs.
  • Highly-skilled in carrying out effective review presentations and providing concise clarifications to questions raised. Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work under pressure and on tight schedules. Strong planning and leadership skills.
  • Able to prioritize effectively.
  • Familiar with Engineering of FPSO, Fixed Facilities or Floaters Project.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is a definite advantage.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel. Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint and SAP ERP & PLC.
  • Flexible attitude to type and patterns of work and a willingness to learn new skills.
