Our team of 100+ professionals, including Sales & Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Managers, and Operations specialists, manages a portfolio of 800+ channel business partners within a healthy and profitable channel ecosystem. With a dual mission, focuses on facilitating the sale of goods & services while managing risks, collaborate with investors & banks to address working capital requirements in the supply chain.Objective of the job:The primary responsibility of the Credit Analyst is to evaluate and assess the creditworthiness of entities seeking credit from Lenovo and its operating entities. The role involves gathering both qualitative (financial) and quantitative (non-financial) data about channel clients and engaging with Relationship Management and / or Operations teams to clarify any uncertainties regarding proposed transactions; and ask relevant questions to be addressed directly to the customer for additional insights when necessary. Additionally, the Credit Analyst must also gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's broader business context, including industry-specific risks, country of operation and sovereign risk, organizational structure, market position, and long-term outlook etc.Upon gathering and analyzing all relevant information, the analyst will prepare detailed credit write-ups, providing recommendations for either the approval or rejection of credit limit requests. These recommendations should be supported by a clear rationale, including a Lenovo credit rating for the client, proposed terms & conditions for risk mitigation, or, if applicable, a well-substantiated justification for rejection.The Credit Analyst will also provide essential support to the Credit Manager and Team Leader, contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations. The role requires close collaboration with regional Credit, Operations, and Relationship Management teams, primarily within the Asia Pacific region (covering Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, and India), but also on a global scale for major accounts. The analyst will have the opportunity to engage in cross-functional projects and collaborate with Senior Regional or Worldwide Managers.Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including the ability to interpret and assess key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Forecasts, and Budget Reports) to evaluate a company's financial health and creditworthiness.
• Communication and Decision Justification: Effectively communicate credit-related decisions and provide clear, data-driven justifications to the Relationship Management team, ensuring alignment and transparency in the credit approval process.
• Market Awareness and Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with industry news and financial briefings, proactively identifying and responding to any emerging risks or challenges that may impact the credit standing of CSS clients, taking prompt action as needed.
• Understanding Financial Offerings: Maintain a thorough understanding of Lenovo's products and programs, including their structures and risk mitigation elements (collateral, securities, and credit insurance policies), to ensure optimal credit solutions for clients.
• Financial Markets Insight: Demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of broader economic conditions, sovereign risks, and industry trends, and their potential impact on the creditworthiness of Lenovo's customers, to support informed decision-making.
• Cash Flow Forecasting: Evaluate and forecast future cash flows, considering their implications on debt repayments, to provide accurate and reliable assessments of clients' financial stability.
• Credit Policy Implementation: Implement Lenovo's credit directives and policies in a diligent and timely manner, ensuring that appropriate controls and risk management practices are consistently maintained across all credit processes.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Educational Background: A professional qualification in Finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Credit Risk Management or related fields. Previous experience in Credit or Commercial Lending within a banking or financial institution is highly preferred.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential. Proficiency in additional languages, such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean, is a strong advantage.
• Analytical and Business Skills: A results-driven individual with strong business acumen, along with exceptional financial and qualitative analytical abilities. Demonstrates the capacity to analyze complex data and make sound credit recommendations & decisions.
• Time Management and Organization: Highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and clear, concise communication skills are essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to produce detailed reports, presentations, and perform data analysis. Strong online research capabilities are also required.
