Purpose statement

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science APAC, you will support our finance hub in Penang on finance analytics transformation project in first year, bringing in depth technical expertise of data ingestion & processing, data management, security and governance, and support analytics capability building up in finance area. You will also be involved in investigating various systems and data on a regional/global platform to support the development of our integrated database and management solution.

Apart from the mentioned, you will also work in continuation with the team to improve system performance and manage data security here in our APAC HQ. There will also be opportunities to work on other projects while building up our data capability in APAC.

Roles and responsibilities:

-Enabling and supporting the implementation of analytics capabilities in the FP&A Hub from technical data platform perspective, e.g., AWS data services, Snowflake, and self-service analytics platforms (Tableau and Power BI)
-Designing end-to-end data flow architecture for Hub with considerations of technical integration across platforms/solutions, self-service analytics framework, agility, performance, security, and cost efficiency of solutions.
-Design security and access structure and governance within self-service analytics framework
-Connecting to data sources and performing ETL jobs to support self-service analytics at hub side.
-Partnering with our FP&A Hub leaders to provide technical advice for project.
-Influence and engage stakeholders to bridge effective communication on service delivery

Role requirements:

-Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance/IT or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experiences
-At least 2 years of hands-on experience in enterprise level self-service analytics solution design, implementation, and management, e.g., Tableau or Power BI. Dashboard building experience although is relevant but not the primary focus.
-At least 1 year experience in cloud (AWS/Azure) data lake/warehouse solutions with strong SQL coding skills, Snowflake, and data platform end-to-end integrations
-Experience in end-to-end data product development, deployment, and management will be a mandate requirement
-Experienced in data security management, i.e., row-level security design and supporting finance systems (SAP, Hyperion, etc.) in data projects, or previous working experience in corporate finance will be an added advantage
-Able to thrive in a highly matrix environment across different cultures and a highly collaborative individual who works well in a team
-A self-starter that works under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives and keen in continuous learning
-Fluency in English both verbal and written
-Be a subject matter expert to provide coaching/guidance on the technical knowledge to internal stakeholders
