Role Summary

Working as part of the Advanced Reporting Team function within Global Automation and Analytics based in KL, Malaysia.

Our key priorities are to provide automated analytics and reporting across the global systems in AstraZeneca. The role will work with our customers to define key metrics and design the solution to productionise the metrics reporting

Candidates should have a proven ability to translate business needs into data requirements, and preferably have strong hands-on experience in the software systems development lifecycle and leading small developments.

The role will work autonomously with limited direct supervision from senior team members and will provide coaching, task management and designs to teams of developers.

Typical Accountabilities

This position will be responsible for working with business process teams to define metrics, data requirements and reporting frequencies. The role will then examine business models and flows of data and produce designs, functional specifications and test plans for new systems in order to meet our internal clients' needs.

Manage the process of turning these requirements into automated outputs

Coordinating the work of developers to deliver the required results

Ensuring that work produced by the teams conform to similar methods, designs and standards so that economies of scale can be achieved during the support phase.

Defining and establishing support mechanisms so that the solution will persist in a reliable manner

Essential requirements

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

Strong background and experience (5+ years) in IT data analysis, software systems engineering and design, preferably using cloud-based systems.

Good interpersonal skills, able to quickly build relationships with customers

Project management experience at a team leader level is an added advantage

Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Desirable requirements

Ideally candidates will have proven experience of designing and developing data reporting processes

Knowledge and experience of working with SAP data

Comfortable working in high performance computing or cloud environment

Experience and knowledge of existing AZ IT systems would be a very significant advantage

Familiarity of Talend ETL and MicroStrategy.
