About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive

Senior Data Engineer

to design, develop, and optimize our modern cloud-native data warehouse on AWS. You will build scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data architecture using AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions). Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into clean, structured datasets. Ensure data governance, security, and quality control across all datasets and pipelines. Collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver user-friendly data solutions. Continuously refine and optimize data models to improve reporting efficiency. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in workflows. Recommend and experiment with new tools or AWS services to drive innovation. Automate manual processes and improve data engineering practices. Build reliable datasets and pipelines that enable stakeholders to self-serve insights.

Requirements

4-5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in cloud environments (AWS preferred). Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and automation. Proficiency with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions). Experience building and managing large-scale data pipelines and data models. Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and modern ELT/ETL practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience building enterprise-level data warehouses. Familiarity with Power BI, Snowflake on AWS, or Databricks. Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD). Understanding of AWS-based data security and governance best practices.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
