About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

We would like to seek a detail-oriented candidate ideally with strong analytical skills with SQL/Impala/Hive and Python programming skills to join the Wholesale Banking Data Analytics team. The team focuses on building predicative modeling using Machine Learning and Visualization for business prediction. The candidate is to conduct data extraction, experimental design, data mining, data analysis, develop and improve algorithms to gain actionable and valuable insights that support internal clients.

Job Requirements

• Background in quantitative or technical field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering).
• Candidate should have about 3 to 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Modeling, Predictive modeling or been involved in SQL/Impala/ Hive / Python and Hadoop/Spark based related projects.
• Analyze, integrate and manage voluminous structure and unstructured data to develop insightful datasets to answer business questions and power advanced analytics
• Familiarity in at least one visualization tool such as PowerBI and Qliksense.
• Demonstrated aptitude toward Data Storytelling and Root Cause Analysis using data Analytics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, willing to learn, must be able to work in team or independently, produce result in accordance to timeline.
• Coordinate with various internal and external business stakeholders to ensure smooth data-to-insights conversion and the necessary of the insights implementation
