DESIGNATION : Senior Data Scientist - HS

RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Title: Senior Data Scientist Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia :

• Develop and train machine learning models: Utilize your expertise in machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling techniques to develop and train accurate and efficient models.
• Collaborate with data engineers: Work closely with data engineers to ensure that data is properly processed, cleaned, and prepared for model training. Provide guidance on data requirements and assist in data collection and pre-processing tasks.
• Understand business requirements: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business objectives and requirements. Translate these requirements into actionable models that address specific business needs.
• Model development and deployment: Design, implement, and deploy machine learning models that align with business goals. Continuously monitor and refine models to improve their performance and accuracy.
• Experimentation and evaluation: Conduct experiments to test the effectiveness of different models and algorithms. Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and statistical techniques. Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies. Apply this knowledge to enhance our AI capabilities and contribute to the team\'s growth and success.
• Documentation and reporting: Document all model development processes, methodologies, and findings. Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate results and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. PhD preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a focus on machine learning model development and deployment.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) is a must.
• Extensive experience in offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java. Proficiency in machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) is essential.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modelling techniques.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex data-related challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible AI practices is a plus.
