-Database Management: Manage and maintain the organizations databases, including installation, configuration, upgrading, and patching of database software.

-Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance by monitoring system resource utilization, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning techniques.

-Security and Access Control: Ensure the security and integrity of the databases by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular backups. Monitor and respond to security incidents or breaches.

-Database Design and Development: Collaborate with software developers and data architects to design and develop efficient and scalable database structures, schemas, and data models.

-Data Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity. Perform regular backups and test data recovery procedures.

-Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor database systems for performance issues, errors, and anomalies. Identify and resolve database related problems, such as data corruption or connectivity issues.

-Capacity Planning: Estimate future database capacity requirements and plan for scalability by monitoring resource usage trends, forecasting growth, and making recommendations for hardware or software upgrades.

-Database Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation, including database schemas, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

-Database Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce database standards, guidelines, and best practices for database development, administration, and security.

-Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration of applications and systems with the databases. Provide technical support and guidance to junior DBAs and other team members.
Requirements

-Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology

-At least 5 years of experience on Database Skills: Proficiency in working with major database management systems (DBMS)

-Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a database administrator, with progressively increasing responsibilities. Experience in managing large-scale databases and complex database environments is preferred.

-Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting skills (e.g., SQL, PowerShell) to automate database tasks, monitoring, and reporting.

-Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve database-related issues.

-Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

-Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, learn new database systems and tools, and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
