Job Description

As a Senior Database Engineer you will design, implement and maintain highly reliable databases with emphasis on security, performance, and scale to meet the requirements of our Marketplace platform. You will also manage release issues like corruption, memory leaks, lock contentions, performance regressions, increased CPU usage, and scalability challenges. You will also drive and contribute to new architecture and projects.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

• 5 years of experience designing and managing MySQL databases with a focus on performance, security, scalability, reliability, high-availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience engineering and managing multiple relational database flavors (e.g. Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL) for complex production systems.
• Experience analyzing issues holistically, from the application tier through the database, down to the storage.
• Working knowledge of relational database internals (locking, consistency, serialization, recovery paths).
• Experience with database internals and diagnosing memory leaks, data corruption, replication, and database performance and tuning.
• Excellent communication skills.
