Job Summary

The Senior Debug Engineer will be based in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

• Analyzes and interprets test data and product performance and prepares technical advice for repair.
• Resolves yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
• Trains and instructs floor support, repair technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as on follow-up of proper problem solutions.
• Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues.
• Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for analysis purposes.
• Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for following other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.
• Interferes with floor support, test technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
• Analyze and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
• Resolves failures from Point of origin/point of detection.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design-related Failure analysis Report.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 7 years of related experience.
