As the DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of our Solutions team and responsible for deployment and monitoring of Vidispine\xe2\x80\x99s BMS (Broadcast Management Systems) software used by some of the largest broadcasters in worldwide. You will also take part in setting up and developing tools, procedures and pipelines used by our development teams to deliver and deploy applications and solutions for our customers, working alongside our teams as well as our customer\xe2\x80\x99s IT and business teams. You will be expected to understand the applications\xe2\x80\x99 technical architecture and support configuration and operation of the infrastructure they rely on (such as database, application servers, cloud environments). You will also diagnose symptoms, analyze root causes, and initiate preventative measures to avoid the possibility of incident reoccurrence. The ideal candidate is expected to take ownership and accountability of the performance and reliability of the services that the business manages. Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement and maintain the core business\' infrastructure architecture. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build automation frameworks for the deployment based on provided specification and man-age and monitor web-based business services and platforms. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop automated scripts for building development and production environments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create tools that improve developer capacity and productivity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Test and support automated risk-management techniques. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with the development teams in creating solutions for deploying and monitoring sites/software/applications. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain constant communication with the IT department in the event of any issues with the business\' sites/software/application. \xe2\x80\xa2 Troubleshoot complex issues in a quick and effective manner. Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s Degree or Master\'s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to execute a fast and secure deployment process and CI / CD. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good experience in MSSQL set-up, manipulation, or query. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good experience in Windows Server administration, and advanced knowledge in PowerShell \xe2\x80\xa2 Good experience with infrastructure as code software tool (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc). \xe2\x80\xa2 Good experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure or AWS). \xe2\x80\xa2 Good experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet or Chef). \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge of high-availability approaches such as failover, load balancing, clustering, and risk-management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Adept knowledge of IT security compliance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in agile software development after SCRUM / Kanban. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent team player, displaying strong customer focus and great communication skills. Added advantages: \xe2\x80\xa2 Good professional experience in software development. \xe2\x80\xa2 Extensive experience in the development of microservices and/or migration to Azure or other cloud services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in Docker and Kubernetes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Current with industry trends, IT operations and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of the areas: broadcast equipment, technologies, and workflows.
