We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. We build, maintain, and operate solutions focused on helping our customers modernize their applications by removing platform issues and opening up access to them. The technical domains we operate in are .Net Core, SQL Server, AWS & Azure Cloud, DevOps, and integration. The Senior DevOps Engineer role would suit someone with a technical background in Software Development. The role will involve working with our Developers and Architects to design, build, and execute impactful DevOps solutions that will support our customer\'s business goals. You will also help shape and build Datacom\'s cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with business, marketing, and development teams. This role will initially see you working on an incredibly rewarding account making a real difference in the community. Requirements What you\'ll bring Strong and recent hands-on experience with DevOps aspects of the development of large and complex cloud-based systems in Azure and/or AWS with a willingness to learn the others A good understanding of the software lifecycle and DevOp\'s role in it. You understand DevOps philosophy, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code to your work and lead with a code-first approach Deep understanding of cloud and infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies Experience in the design and architecture of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms Experience in DevOps practices and tools, e.g., Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), Redis Cache, Databases, Cloud security, PowerShell & Bash, APM Good working knowledge and hands-on experience in Containerisation and Kubernetes Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps pipelines, Octopus, or similar Deep understanding of cloud network and security in design and implementation Experience in Ops/Administration of Linux or other OS, and ability to use scripting languages and comfortable with building Linux and/or Windows server systems Good working knowledge of branching strategies and associated configuration management Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the team to convey progress, status, ideas, plans, and needs Ability to work in a team of highly skilled professional peers at a technical level, collaborating to deliver complex projects Ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding environment Can work independently to design and automate solutions, but also play a key part in a very close-knit team. An added advantage would be experienced in any of the following: You\'ve previously worked with monitoring systems for stress, performance, and business continuity testing You have experience with DevSecOps such as automated penetration testing Have experience with unit testing and automated testing tools Background in web software development (preferably . NET).
