This is a leadership role responsible for managing and supporting a team of over 450 employees who buy $6B of materials for all global sites and commodities. This role is responsible for delivering a unique client/customer experience, enabling profitable growth, and driving transformational change within Celestica\'s Global SCM team. This includes engaging in regular communication both with internal stakeholders and with external customers related to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory and future process changes/improvements. It involves maintaining external contacts to understand best practices for improving costs and logistics offerings, as well as implementing structures to meet future customer needs. The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day issues related to both direct and indirect procurement. This role has significant cross-functional involvement such as interface with Suppliers and Commodity Management to drive demand/supply alignment, supplier performance, and enablement of supplier flexibility programs. As a Director, the successful candidate will provide direction to managers on objective setting, performance measurements, and company procedures. This includes regular interaction, coaching and feedback with direct reports, as well as their employees in some situations. Detailed Description Responsible for creating long term procurement plans to stay ahead of market trends & customer expectations Responsible for collaborating with Commodity management and Planning to drive clear to build outcomes and supplier flexibility programs Responsible for monitoring on-going analytics to spot trends and opportunities to proactively address customer and client business needs Responsible for supporting the successful launch of all new business within Celestica Works broadly with functional SCM & Operations to drive production status meetings and revenue attainment Drives the team to support materials strategies per commodity to meet customer needs, while managing Celestica\'s ongoing need for profitable growth Drives long-term continuous improvement plans to enable faster procure to pay outcomes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to yield the best results for customers and shareholders Responsible for owning and driving key performance indicators (parts per Buyer, PO placement/confirmation, past due PO management, invoice and receiving referrals, material gating revenue) Responsible for establishing supplier relationships to execute supplier performance along with demand/supply execution and supplier flexibility programs Liaison between senior leadership team and senior operations to drive aligned outcomes and objectives Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Strong leadership skills, global manufacturing experience, people skills, SCM expertise, Project Management, Business Savvy Excellent knowledge of the supply chain and manufacturing processes supporting all Celestica market segments Excellent knowledge of Celestica\'s customer\'s business, organizations, products and processes to enable Celestica to support the supply chain needs of its customers Extensive commercial and business expertise to enable successful compliance to customer & supplier contracts Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate with clients, customer and external suppliers to deliver world class solutions Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse global team of directors, managers and employees. Strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills Understanding of import/export, regulatory and labor requirements across Asia to enable purchasing team to work seamlessly Able to maintain external contacts with consultants, associations and other companies for benchmarking and networking. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Typical Experience 14+ years supply chain experience with a proven track record of interacting with diverse manufacturing, SCM and customer focused teams Procurement leadership in an ODM or EMS environment, with strong supplier relationships in the electronics industry Experience with various purchasing models, such as Lean and MRP based procurement systems Strong financial acumen Previous Sourcing and/or Commodity Management experience would be an asset Typical Education Bachelor\'s Degree in related field (Engineering or Business) Masters Degree (Business or Engineering) would be an asset Notes This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
