Develop concept designs and detailed engineering designs across a range of projects, particularly in the health and education sectors. Ensure design work meets the expected standards and addresses the specific requirements of each project. Collaborate with the team to review and refine design concepts, incorporating innovative technical solutions where appropriate. Participate in project reviews, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure the successful execution of projects. Supervise team members, offering support and mentorship to ensure their professional development. Conduct regular progress assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance. Extend relationships with existing key clients, fostering strong partnerships and identifying opportunities for expanding business. Collaborate with other business groups within the region to explore cross-disciplinary projects and leverage synergies. Prepare detailed tender submissions and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients. Prepare project reports for clients, highlighting key issues, progress, and recommended strategic approaches. Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients, aiming for the best outcomes in terms of functionality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of quality systems within the Malaysia office. Identify areas for improvement, propose enhancements, and ensure adherence to established quality standards. Mentor and support less-experienced team members, fostering their technical and professional growth. Research and develop innovative technical applications and procedures to enhance the teams capabilities. Assist senior staff members in formal and informal training activities, sharing knowledge and expertise. Requirements Possess recognized tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field. Demonstrate proven industry experience in Electrical Engineering, specifically in health, education, and similar projects. Previous experience working within a consulting business environment is highly desirable. Exhibit the ability to provide cost-effective and sustainable solutions to clients, considering their specific needs and requirements. Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline. Possess Malaysia Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent, ensuring compliance with professional engineering standards. Showcase the ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses, employing analytical skills to evaluate complex engineering problems and propose effective solutions. Proficient in conducting comprehensive technical assessments and reporting the results accurately and clearly. Demonstrate experience in managing key smaller and medium-sized projects, overseeing all project aspects from initiation to completion. Display competence in coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and successful project delivery.
