Responsibilities:

Ensure fulfillment of the tender/project contractual requirements in terms of design, functionality, quality and constructability for the scope of supply.

Ensure compliance of the company\'s engineering processes, procedures, design rules and application of Information Systems/tools.

Ensure that the design of the plant and equipment are in accordance to the applicable codes and standards and according to good engineering practice especially with regard to Environmental, Health & Safety and Operation & Maintenance requirements.

Coordinate with project team Lead Engineers/Engineers.

Coordinate all technical issues with Customer, Owner\'s Engineer, Authorities, Partners, etc. Ensure timely response on technical issues internally as well as to the Customer and Owner\'s Engineer. Compile open issues and close-out comment list accordingly.

Site coordination and support the site during construction & commissioning and warranty period.

Good knowledge of codes and standards; IEEE, IEC, NEEMA and NFPA

Good knowledge of using latest version of ETAP

Ensure the timely issuance of project engineering documentation for the project.

Review and issue electrical project documentation in accordance to engineering schedule.

Conduct design reviews (Toll Gate Reviews) for electrical project documentation and equipment purchase. Ensure close-out of follow up action items.

Review and release vendor engineering documents in accordance to engineering schedule.

Support for Other Disciplines for review of GTG, STG, Mechanical BOP and C&I BOP electrical engineering.

Review of other discipline\'s vendor drawings for electrical design interface checks.

Provide feedback from executed projects and implement \xe2\x80\x9clessons learnt\' corrective/preventive actions.

Specific Electrical Technical Requirements:

Good knowledge in preparation of Key SLD, Switchgear SLD, DC & UPS SLD, BSDG / EDG SLD, Overall Protection SLD

Prepare & consolidate Load List

Perform System Studies - Load Flow, Short circuit, Voltage Drop & Transient Stability

Prepare & review sizing calculations - Power Transformers (GSUT & UAT), GCB, IPBD, LV Auxiliary Transformers, DC System, UPS System, BSDG / EDG, Power transformer losses

Prepare & develop Logic Diagrams - MV & LV Switchgear, GCB & BSDG / EDG System

Prepare & review Electrical Operation Philosophy

Prepare Plant Trip Matrix

Prepare Protective relay diagram

Prepare technical specification for electrical equipment RFQ and perform the techno-commercial evaluations

Review & release vendor documentation for electrical vendor packages like Power Transformers, GCB, IPBD, Switchgears, LV Aux. Transformers, DC & UPS system, BSDG / EDG, VFD, Cathodic protection and BOP Electrical packages.

Review and release STG OEM / Gas Turbine OEM electrical engineering documentation.

Prepare Switchgear electrical equipment layout, IPBD routing, Transformer Yard & EDG/BSDG layouts

Knowledge on Switchyard Interfaces

Preparation of Control & Power Cable Connection List

Preparation of Electrical DCS I/O list and DCS interface Philosophy

Preparation of indices for transformer losses, etc

Requirements:

Possess a Masters/Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field from a locally or an internationally recognized university.

Minimum six (6) years working experience in power plant, Oil & Gas or related industry with at least three (3) years working experience in electrical design of power plants (coal fired & combined cycle plants)

Good knowledge of concepts and basic engineering of electrical system engineering & equipment design.

Knowledge on COMOS would be an added advantage

Excellent planning, organizing and priority setting skills with ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Must be a team player with a proactive attitude

Possess excellent communication skills working with cross functional teams both locally and internationally
